Job: Floating Support Worker

To support Floating Support Officers in providing housing support to vulnerable clients in their own homes. To ensure they are able to maintain their accommodation and a range of needs are met to promote independence, such as access to mental health /addiction / health services, benefits income maximised, practical help, budgeting, life skills etc.

It is essential that you have experience of working with the support needs of vulnerable adults, either in a residential or non residential setting.

Experience of working with individuals with one or more of the following issues: substance misuse, mental health, personality disorder, self harm, learning disability, ex/prolific offender, homelessness, low self esteem.

It would be highly desirable for you to have worked in a homelessness setting and or worked with private and/or social landlords.

It is essential for you to have an understanding of housing management/tenancy issues and have the ability and experience of working with client to an agreed support plan.
