We are currently recruiting for experienced Support Workers to provide support for adults with learning disabilities in and around the Southampton area

The Support Workers main duties will be to;

  • Provide emotional and practical support to service users
  • Help service users meet their personal care needs sensitively and appropriately to a high standard, including personal hygiene.
  • Enable service users to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life by providing appropriate information, opportunity, training, counselling and support.
  • Take service users out into the community so they can have support whilst carrying out everyday activities.
  • Support service users to actively contribute to the running of their own house by helping them in their own environment.
  • Some shifts may involve supporting service users on a one to one basis

Shift patterns will include days, nights and sleep in’s. All applicants must have an up to date Moving and Handling certificate. Drivers will also be beneficial
when taking out service users and working unsociable hours.
